Mohanna Eljabaly Leads Two Global Sessions on Risk Management and Risk Sharing for HelpAge International Partners

In June 2025, Mohanna Eljabaly, General Manager of Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA), led two expert-led virtual sessions for HelpAge International’s global partner network, bringing together more than 160 participants. These sessions, focused on Risk Management Fundamentals and Risk Sharing for NGOs & Humanitarian Organizations, aimed to build the capacity of field-level actors in managing uncertainties more strategically and equitably.

The first session, held on June 3rd, introduced key pillars of risk management — including risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and control. Drawing on Mohanna’s 24+ years of cross-sectoral experience, the session highlighted real-world cases and offered field-tested insights to improve organizational resilience.

The second session, on June 17th, was a dedicated follow-up titled “Risk Sharing for NGOs & Humanitarian Organizations.” It presented a practical framework tailored to humanitarian partnerships, focusing on equitable collaboration, transparency, and joint responsibility across delivery chains. The training also included access to Mohanna’s Udemy course, allowing participants to continue learning and applying the concepts through downloadable templates and guided videos.

The sessions received positive feedback from both HelpAge staff and partner organizations. In recognition of this contribution, HelpAge offered a formal thank-you certificate to Mohanna, underscoring the growing appreciation for locally led thought leadership in risk governance.

These sessions mark a continuation of Mohanna Eljabaly’s advocacy for smarter, fairer risk practices in the humanitarian sector — building momentum for broader adoption of risk sharing in partner-driven programming.
